Tag, Your're It!

Mandi tagged me, I think mostly because she is seriously annoyed with the organization of folders on my computer and she wanted to prove a point. Okay, you win. The fourth picture in the fourth folder was a .psd file, and you didn't say what happens when you have subfolders in the folder. So I took some "this is my blog and I can do what I want" privileges and chose one that was close to the 4th picture and in the 4th folder.

I look forward to the beginning of the month, because it means designers make new quickpage desktops for freebies. It takes ten seconds to throw a picture or two in, and it makes me happy that it makes Kristi happy :) I could probably delete this entire folder as they are desktops from previous months and I don't really need them. But isn't Chloe just the cutest???

Just added to the to-do list: organize desktop folders before Mandi comes to visit.

Altho I didn't vote for him, this was a historical day and I thought my pic of the day should reflect it. I'm still a bit nervous, but oddly enough, "hopeful" at the same time. Good luck, Mr. President.

We turned our heat on for the first time yesterday. It smelled bad! I'm pretty sure it was the first time it's ever been on. Seems the same scenario was taking place next door!

Speed Scrap

I did this one as part of a Speed Scrap, but on the last step, the power went out, and of course I hadn't saved my work. Ugh! I was able to redo it and get it uploaded with about 2 minutes left on the clock. It's not as good as the first one I was working on, but I still like it.

Note to self: When you leave your kid to fend for himself so you can do selfish stuff like this, be sure that the gate is up on the kitchen, otherwise he'll get into the syrup and come at you saying "uh-oh" and looking at his sticky fingers.

Julie's car wouldn't start, so I went over to try to give her a jump. Bad news is we couldn't get it started and she had to get a tow. Good news is the Honda man couldn't get it started either because the battery was completely dead. Good to know we aren't total idiots!!
After that whole experience, we decided 2 for 1's at Chili's were in order!

I made this layout as part of a speed scrap at GDS. We had rules to follow and had to complete the layout in an hour.

• Even number of photos - overlapped
• 3 patterned papers, use one as an element (paper strips)
• use 2-3 elements used in a way other than how they were intended - journal tag as mat behind big photo, extracted glitter dots from a swirl as the dots on the i's
• journal, date & title.

It wasn't long after this picture was taken that a toddler tantrum ensued. It was MY turn to play and he wouldn't get off!!

Caden got into a program to hopefully help him start talking and the therapist came for her first visit yesterday. She let him sit on her motorcycle before she left.
